I am not a big fan of Michael Jackson, but I do love some of his songs. Although he is no longer with us performing his great acts... he will be remembered forever by his fans.
Looking at his lyrics of Man in The Mirror, I feel that as human, we need to make few changes in our life in order to become a better person in the future.
Let's take a look at few lines:
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Well...this is not meant for MEN only if you know what I mean by that...:)
I love this song for it has a deeper message for all of us as a human being. We cannot force others to change their attitude (especially bad ones) towards us, but WE can change OURSELVES in order to become a good human being.
Imagine if there is no CRIMINALS, MURDERERS, PSYCHOPATH, MANIACS, or even EGOISTIC people who would only care about themselves and would hurt other people's feeling... the world would become a better place to live in.
If we are talking about NEGATIVE things, somehow the negative thought would make our days gloomy and sad. I read somewhere in a book : If we started our day with a happy thought, suddenly a bad thing happen (for instance a severe traffic congestion, a bad news, etc), it would somehow affect our entire day.
In a way... we should start make changes in our life. Negative thoughts come from a negative mind of a negative thinker...don't be involved with them if we want to have a positive days ahead. A small good change can be a great impact for our life and it could affect the way we communicate and mingle with others.
After all...we are humans...tend to make mistakes and we learn through mistakes. The problem is : those who have created the mistakes but put the blame on others - they will not learn from their mistakes.
There are too many problems as we are reaching the end of the world. POLLUTION, MAN SLAUGHTERING, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, ABUSIVE PEOPLE, and so many more that we have to endure in finding a better place to live in. I am really afraid in looking forward to my children's future. Reading newspaper is not really a pleasure anymore...
Well...to err is human...
