Tipikal sangat...

Hari pertama... semester pertama... sesi 2014/2015

English Vinglish...

Because I had time last night, I had the chance to watch this interesting Hindi movie : English Vinglish.
...and I love Sridevi so much since I could remember.

But... the point is the storyline is quite interesting and it's kind of having a relaxation while watching the movie. It's all about Shashi Godbole (Sridevi) who is just an ordinary housewife who has a small business selling laddoos. Her husband and her daughter take her for granted and always complain about her poor ability in English language.

Luckily her son and her mother-in-law love her so much. One day, her sister who works in New York asked her to stay with her family for a month - for the wedding of her niece. There she learned that she has to do something about her English... so she took a four week course of learning to speak better English.

Things happened so fast during the four week and a French chef - Laurent - fell in love with her at the first sight (not knowing that she has a husband and children). They talked a lot with each other - about life, friends, family and love. She learned so many things as the students in that class came from different countries and they have to learn the language so that they can communicate with others easily (they came from different background and workplaces).

One thing that she learned when something happened between Laurent and her:
She has to learn to respect and appreciate herself first in order for her to be happy. Other people might take her for granted but she has to learn to love herself better.

In a way... I feel enlightened after I watch that movie. I feel happy about myself although there are people who hate me for being ME. So... I learned that I should feel glad about who I am... what I have...about the people who love me dearly. For those people who hate me : You need to find someone else to be blamed for not being happy about yourself.

Alhamdulillah... life can be hard sometimes; but to endure it can be a bless in disguise.

Parting seems NORMAL... isn't it?

One more week... and I have to continue my life as a lecturer. Living far from my children bothers me a lot but what can I do...

My twins will be transferred to a new school next year due to their personal problems that can only be solved by their dad. Although my heart doesn't allow them to live far away from me, but my common sense asked me to do so.

Living as a working mother is not easy. You can ask anyone if you like and the answer would be the same - juggling things at the same time seems impossible but most working women can tackle them; one by one.

With the help of the husband, the house chores can be handled easily; but when you live with your children and your husband works somewhere else, it could be difficult for you to handle.

It has been two years for my twins and they didn't find Jengka that appealing. They requested to stay in Kuala Lumpur with their dad. It hurts me... but thinking that they will be happy with their dad and they promised me to study hard lead me to the decision of letting them go.

I know my decision seems cruel to my youngest daughter for she is really close to her brother. She would feel lonely without the twins and I would feel empty without them.

What can I do? -SIGH-

Marry Him If You Dare

The reason why I like this drama is because of there are so many talented people in it. The story revolves around 6 main characters whereby the future Na Mi Rae (Choi Myung Gil) from the year 2038 comes back to the year 2013 to make some amendments towards her unsuccessful marriage to Kim Shin (Lee Dong Gun).

The young Na Mi Rae (Yoon Eun Hye) is really surprised to learn that her future will not be as bright as she has imagined before. During her confrontation with her future self, her current state has somehow changed drastically.

Meanwhile, Park Se Joo (Jung Yong Hwa) fell in love with Na Mi Rae and they are entangled with Kim Shin who confessed that he also loves Na Mi Rae. But to make it interesting, the one who should marry Park Se Joo is Seo Yoo Kyung (Han Chae Ah) found out that something is wrong somewhere, so she started to investigate the relationship between the young Na Mi Rae with the old Na Mi Rae...

The story is quite refreshing and I love the way the story is being narrated. You should watch this if you like to watch them acting out their fascinating roles...

The Suspicious Housekeeper

A kind of serious Korean Drama if you like to have a change for your prime time. It is about Park Bok Nyeo (Choi Ji Woo) who lost her husband and her son in a tragedy caused by fire - her stalker Seo Ji Hoon (Song Jong Ho) was jealous of her happiness turned out to be the arsonist. Seo Ji Hoon changed his identity as Jang Do Hyung and he keeps chasing Park Bok Nyeo after that incident.

Park Bok Nyeo works as a professional housekeeper and her work is splendid. So when Eun Sang Chul (Lee Sung Jae) hired her, there are so many interesting events take place. Eun Sang Chul's wife committed suicide after learning that his husband has an affair with Yoon Song Hwa (Wang Ji Hye).

What I really like about this drama is the other side of Choi Ji Woo - she is really a brilliant actress and she managed to play her role tremendously! And the rest of the characters manage to make the drama interesting to watch...

Pakaian Kakitangan Awam...

Bukan besar sangat kesalahannya... namun kerjaya saya turut menjadi taruhan...

Akibat panas di hati, saya bertanya di forum FB milik sekolah anak saya. Akhirnya guru kelasnya membuat panggilan bertanyakan mengapa saya bertindak sedemikian rupa.

Jatuh Cinta LAGI

Hmmm... meletus perang lah jawabnya.

Seeloknya;

Cintakan keluarga banyak manfaat...

The Heirs

One more Lee Min Ho drama - he is the cutest ever! :)

This time around he (Kim Tan) is the outcast son of a rich family who is transferred far away from his birth mother since he was young but still, he is one of the heirs that can inherit his family's fortune.

He lives in California with his best friend. He likes to dine in at a local bar/restaurant near the beach. There's a Korean waitress that always serves him when he was there. It turned out to be Eun Sang's sister. Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye) comes from a poor family background.

Her mother works at Kim Tan's house in Korea - serving his mother (they don't know the strings attached) and her mother is deaf. Working and earning money is a part of their daily routine but Eun Sang's sister doesn't care for she has to support her boyfriend in US.

So...after learning that her sister wants to get married, Eun Sang eagerly wanted to see her sister. But things din't go according to her plan. She has to overcome many difficult things once she arrived at the California's airport.

She met Kim Tan... and their story begins...

But the thing is; there are too many talented people in the drama and the story might be entangled with one another...you don't know what actually might happen next.

Students' EVALUATION

It is going to be the end of the first semester and the students have to evaluate the lecturers' performance for the whole semester. To tell you the truth; I don't really care about the evaluation because I know I had done the best I can to help my students.

There are changes in some of my students that sometimes amazed myself - they changed just because they feel they need to change; not because I told them to change. I'm just a mere teacher - who likes to help my students to become themselves and I will not force them to do the opposite!

Well... some of the comments did make me laugh my heart out; my cakes and my cupcakes were everywhere in the comment spaces.

I can be emotional sometimes but when I'm in class, I'd try my very best not to show my weaker point and I tried to smile every time I saw their faces. I like being surrounded by students who like to try out something new. They participated in every activity that I did in class and they can't wait to do different activities in class.

I don't really believe in orthodox ways in teaching English Language. The language itself can be hard on certain people and if I were to teach them using traditional ways, they will feel bored in my class. In leading them to a new journey full with fun and learning experience, I tried different methods and activities just to help them to acquire the language.

When I was teaching in schools, I used to have limited time in helping my students to acquire the language, but still I managed to do different activities in class - games, treasure hunts, language activities and so many more. So, I tried to apply the same activities here (in Matriculation) and the one hour given is a bless for me to make various interesting activities.

So...who said that English class is boring? You can ask that to my students!

Dwelling in the PAST

Thinking of my life here in Jengka does upset my feelings sometimes. I feel like being trapped in a really small place without any fun things to do. Although it might sound silly, I do miss my life back when I was in SMK Seri Garing - the chaos, the hustle and bustle, the naughty students and I do miss my house in Tasik Puteri.

I'm not really dwelling in my past, it's just a remembrance that I hold on for the past three years. I feel kind of lonely here without the one that I love the most...

People come and go... life is not as easy as it may seem and I have to endure so many things by myself. I guess there's nothing wrong if I like to sit back and reflect myself - what did I do wrong or what is actually my goal in life. There's no definite answer for it for I don't know how to begin with.

I do make mistakes and I don't intend to make the same mistakes in my life, but sometimes life is a cruel battle that I have to face it alone - just by myself. If you ask me, I would say that I'm not really enjoying my present. I love things that happened in the PAST.

I missed my friends, my dear students, my parents, my family, my CHILDREN... I know that I've neglected my children the most as I am struggling to help those students in need.

Sometimes I need a moment for myself and pat on my shoulders and say, "I have done the very best today!"
Well, some people are too blind to see that it takes a lot of effort to help others in need and the worst part is they will criticize you no matter what you do for the benefits of others.

Dwelling in the past does make me happy...:)
